The Natural Colour

The next image is one taken in Darvel, just outside Drumclog Crescent, Scotland. I took this at an angle. The angle worked well with the image. I first levelled it and found out that the bricks looked a lot better once they were as they became darker. I originally had started to work with this image and make it so that the bricks looks painted, which is something I might still continue. Then came the thought that it might look better if most of, not all of them were another colour, but made it so that it looked as natural as possible. The end result is rather pleasing to the eye. The magnetic lasso tool was used to work round the bricks, trying not to let the lasso do all the work, anchors were places at many intervals. A new layer was then added and the certain brick was pasted in and the background made to show up behind it once again. The colour was then taken care of by the use of the colour balance tool. The opacity and the fill percentages were then changed in order to make the bricks look as natural as possible.
The image works due to the colours picked and the pleasing nature of the picture.
